Humankind is Ontogenesis. Derived from the Greek word ōn, ont- ‘being’ + genesis ‘birth’, meaninghumankind are adevelopment of an individual organism or anatomical or behavioral feature that has arisen from the earliest stage to completed maturity.
Throughout time, there has been a uniquely human characteristic way of making order though existence. Humankind has created a way of carving necessity from the uncertainty and potential chaos of the personal experiences throughout space, place and time. This has been done through storytelling, visual arts, and giving individual lives a meaningful purpose through a purely human-shaped narrative.
This body of work tells a story of a mirrored development through a lens that can only come from one’s own personal experiences. The experience gained in my lifetime thus far, has given me an intimate conception of various forms of architecture and spatial dichotomies as a way to understand aspects of human perception.
Within the work, there are hidden layers of space, place, and time. I feel that it is important to create a mixture of visual languages through forms in both the 3D and the 2D realms. There is a level of complexity, in that it helps to relay an uncovering of what happens within the systems thinking of the body, in comparison to the systematic structures within the city.
